Dhubri Unit

MSSV DHUBRI Unit was established in 27^th September, 2022 through the MSSV Act, amended and consented by the Governor of Assam vide No. LGL.59/2013/40 dated 24th January, 2022 allowing establishment of 5 constituent units of the University in Guwahati, Jorhat, Dibrugarh, Dhubri and Goalpara.

At present, Dhubri Unit has following 4(four) Departments offering PhD and PG Programmes. 

1. Department of Assamese
2. Department of Education
3. Department of English
4. Department of Political Science

The Unit began with the establishment of the Departments of Assamese, English and Education. In the academic year (2023-24) the University established the Department of Political Science at Dhubri Unit. Dhubri Unit was established to fulfil the needs of students pursuing higher education within the region and to ensure that opportunities for post graduation education and research reached the farthest corners of the state. To that end, Dhubri Unit has fulfilled its objective of being a premier institution for students and scholars from other parts of the state who sought and continue to seek quality higher education.
